Police Stations Under S.D.P.O. -
1) Osmanabad City.
2) Osmanabad Rural.
3) Dhoki.
4) Bembli.
5) Shiradhon.

S.D.P.O. is the officer of Dy.S.P. Rank. His place is important in the Hierarchy of Police Officers. He may be a senior departmental officer or may be a person directly appointed through M.P.S.C. He links between P.S. In-charge and District In-charge. He has to play important roll in the whole working of the division.

Working :-


 1) To Supervise the investigation carried out by Police Station in-charge under Sub Division.
 2) To Visit Serious offences i.e. Murder, Dacoity, Robbery, HBT etc. and give instruction regarding investigation of the offence to I.O.
 3) Giving surprise visit at Police Station and O.P. under sub division and give instruction about short followers notices.
 4) To see whether the offences registered are properly registered and the sections applied to it are as per offence story.
 5) To give recommendation in the matter of summary uses submitted by P.S. in charge and if any Lacunas are notices to restitutes.
 6) To submit monthly crime report to superior.
 7) To Investigate some important offences such as offences under SC/ST Atrocities act etc. personally.
 8) Maintenance of Crime register, H.S. Register. etc.
 9) To check case diaries , weekly diaries submitted by officer under SDPO.
 10) To monitor the Law & Order situation and in case of violence and Law and Order problem, rush to immediately.
 11) To attend important Bandobast personally.
 12) To conduct annual inspection of Police station, Out Post under Division.
 13) To make entries regarding working of the constabularies under 10 years of services and to write annual remarks in respective sheet.
 14) To Conduct application enquiries from the application enquiries from the application received directly or by superior authorities.
 15) To Conduct extolments proceedings.
 16) To conduct departmental enquiries.
 17) To provide information called for from superior in any matter.
